Better late than never
How often do you wish you’d started something earlier?
Maybe you didn’t know then what you know now.
Maybe you did know then, but you procrastinated.
Perhaps the situation was totally out of your control.
Situations like this are frustrating.
You recognize just how much potential progress you’ve missed out on.
Your health.
if you’d just started eating better sooner.
Your fitness.
If you’d just started training more consistently sooner.
Your financial life.
If you’d just started saving sooner.
Your career.
If you’d just known what your interests are sooner.
Now it almost feels like it’s too late.
Like you’ve got so much ground you’ll have to make up.
Like you’re so far behind that you might as well not even try.
So you just stay where you are.
Because the idea of catching up is just overwhelming.
This is not what you need to do.
Any progress you make from here forward is better than nothing.
You have no idea how much time you have ahead of you.
So get to work.
You might be late.
Such is life.
You might have missed the best time to start.
You might not be able to make as much progress.
You might not have the same options as if you’d started sooner.
You can’t change that.
You’ve no control over the past.
You’ve only here and now.
Better late than never.
You have no idea what lies ahead.
All you can do is put in the work.
The progress may or may not come.
You may or may not make up for lost time.
You’ll never know that.
One thing’s for certain, though.
If you don’t start now, you won’t make any progress at all.
You’ll stay right where you are.
If that’s what you want, that’s fine.
If not, then get to work.
You are worthy of the work.
You’ve got this.
