Imperfection action or perfect inaction?
Have you ever put off taking action because you were waiting for things to be perfect?
So many of us do.
We don’t try a new dietary strategy until we know that it’s exactly what will work.
We don’t implement a new training routine unless we have exactly the right equipment.
We don’t apply for the job until our resume is worded impeccably.
We seem to always be able to find a reason to put off doing something.
So we don’t do anything at all.
We don’t act.
Don’t progress.
Step toward the life of which we are worthy.
All because we’re so concerned with getting things “just right”.
Preparation becomes procrastination.
Perfectionism becomes prevention.
This obsession with perfection to the point of inaction is most often driven by fear.
Ask yourself.
What are you afraid of?
Discomfort?
Feeling inadequate?
Is whatever you fear worse than regret?
A missed opportunity?
A life not fully lived?
Potential unfulfilled?
Sure, you might fail.
But will you be any worse off than if you’d never tried at all?
Will imperfect action not take you infinitely farther than perfect inaction?
You are worthy of the best life.
Do not let perfectionism come between you and that life.
You are worthy of more than that.
You are worthy.
You’ve got this.
