Keep digging that well

Have you ever been working toward something with no idea when you might finally make it happen?

No clue whether you’re even close?

It’s easy to quit in situations such as this.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with quitting.

For example, when we find that a goal is no longer important to us.

Or we realize it was never important to us in the first place.

Sometimes, though, there really is something to be said for grit.

For grinding.

For pushing through.

Perseverance.

Consider you’re digging a well.

You’ve been digging and digging and digging.

What a shame would it be if you quit, only feet from breaking water?

Never knowing how close you were?

With only a bit more digging to see the fruits of your labor?

Sometimes, it’s not a bad idea to have faith.

To just keep digging.

Keep digging that well.

You might only be feet from water.

Consider, however, a few things as you dig.

How confident are you that you chose the right spot?

Is it water you actually want and need?

What will you do once you find it?

Once the excitement fades?

Questions such as these can help you determine whether to keep going.

You might even ask them before even starting.

But if your goal is worthy and your plan is true, you still might need some faith.

Because it might not easy.

It might take time.

It might take patience.

It might take blood, sweat, and tears.

How much more satisfying will it be, though, once you hit that water?

You are worthy of the best life.

And that might take some perseverance.

You’ve got this.
